MSP=MPS ! ! !
Don't get the idea.... MSP = MPS.....
In today's ITSM, I would say, MSP today can convert their business into MOST PROFITABLE SOLUTION..... u know.. i made it up...just now..couple of minutes ago.... :-P , but its true man, very true. MSPs are popping up like mushroom today and they are making the most of IT.
What do your customer want from you ? - They want the Best from you. They want to make sure their devices are up to date and working to the full potential. Now, thats something you can offer in a jiffy. But not only that, you must give something Extra to your customers.
Normal monitoring tools, give their solution to customers, but you are a ManageEngine customer, give them the EXTRA with ME.
I am doing a Sales Pitch here, but this is just a word of mouth marketing, hey that is also a Marketing strategy. You like someone, tell about them to others. thats fair in love and war, yes this is war. War between competitors, war between MSPs and we (ME) will make sure that you WIN with your customers.
How will you do that ?
Lets say you are buying a House. You buy the furnitures, electronic goods, etc. you want the best, so you go for IKEA. You want a TV, Refrigerator, DVD Player, washing machine. Ok, now comes the tough part, will you buy TV from Samsung, Fridge from Whirlpool, DVD player from SONY or Is it better to buy everything from Samsung itself ? One vendor, you know thats good solution. In this way you get one vendor, huge discounts,good support, easy access to vendor directly.
Then, why do you want to buy multiple products for monitoring, helpdesk, patching, license management ? Are you nuts ? think about the money dude.....

Are you an MSP ? ?
Hi readers....emmm...MSPs....
I must clearly indicate that only VARs, MSPs should read this blog... ;-) kidding....
nowadays, anyone can be an MSP....u too...yes I mean it...with the right tool, right team and the attitude to win customers, you can be a successful MSP. All it needs is patience, the market knowledge and lots and lots of customer interaction.
Small customers like retail shops, shopping malls would have 20 PCs, but they can't afford a System Engineer to continuously monitor these devices and take care of them. Thats when you come into play. You need to promise correct SLA, Monitoring, Patch the devices, manage licenses.
Now, you have your customer - what to do next ? Get the right tool.
hmmm....now now...dont think I am bragging or giving any marketing talk..trust me....

My First visit to Hyderabad ! ! Visited Google too
Hi Users,
This should have been posted a loooooooooong time back...probably 6 months back....but I am updating it now.
6 months back I visited Hyderabad...for a Customer Training for Opmanager MSP and I got a chance to meet one of my best friends, Anitha (Anie), who is married and works in Google Inc, as a QA.
HYDBD has a hot and dull climate...but its a nice and polluted city. I would say, one of the cheapest cities in India but with its potential...it could do more...
once I went to the Google complex, anie invited me to her Google Centre. It was a 10 storey building. I entered the main block to find a WHITE BOARD with some keywords scrolling...
I was taken aback...it was all the search keywords we hit in google search box....now, isn't it wrong for google to do something like that and post it to their employees and visitors...well i dono..i felt so...but it displayed all the search strings....line by line...
Then, I went inside..it was a normal work environment with 100 of users running here and there..submitting reports...some jumping here and there...(yes, u know google folks. this is how they work)...there were bean bags next to the employee chairs...
now, one of the best things i found in the company was SECURITY - except for the guy outside, who tags ur name and the employee details, there is no security restricitons in the company....now, thats TRUST in employees and visitors, thats y, google is loved by everyone I guess...well i did....
No security gush..no messages...all fun stickers...all cool stuff happenin in the complex....
Then, she took me to the cafeteria....there was unlimited food...chocolates..ice creams...twix...snickers...cokes...sodas.....and much more...everything is FREE....yes....ITS FREE.....
there were games table....pc games...snookers...and much more....i loved the campus..but one thing that hit me hard is that...ppl do stuff in line..in queue....if i want to leave for break...10 employees start it out in queue...it seems they are trained to do like this....
I met her hubby..nice guy...enjoyed my stay there, I started immediately...it was a 30 mins visit but I loved it and it was FUN.....
Will come back HYDBD...and GOOG

The Truth
A fellow had just been hired as the new CEO of a large high tech corporation। The CEO who was stepping down met with him privately and presented him with three numbered envelopes. "Open one of these if you run up against a problem you don't think you can solve," he said.
Well, things went along pretty smoothly, but six months later, sales took a downturn and he was really catching a lot of heat. About at his witÃs end, he remembered the envelopes. He went to his drawer and took out the first envelope. The message read, "Blame your predecessor." The new CEO called a press conference and tactfully laid the blame at the feet of the previous CEO. Satisfied with his comments, the press -- and Wall Street -- responded positively, sales began to pick up and the problem was soon behind him.
About a year later, the company was again experiencing a slight dip in sales, combined with serious product problems. Having learned from his previous experience, the CEO quickly opened the second envelope. The message read, "Reorganize." This he did, and the company quickly rebounded.
After several consecutive profitable quarters, the company once again fell on difficult times. The CEO went to his office, closed the door and opened the third envelope. The message said, "Prepare three envelopes."
